UNHEALTHY INCIDENTS- PART II

Three years ago I had got an unpleasant adventure. When my friends from Kielce were in our house we went to the park. In a park there was a gym and we went there. We had fun. In one time something tickled me I thought that it was my jacket. I felt pain of my finger, I looked at my hand and I could see my white bone, I ran to my parents and I showed my hand. We went to the hospital at once. I had an operation at 10 o clock p.m. The surgeon took off my nail and sew my finger.
It was horrlible, but today my finger is fineand I had new nail 😉

Unhealthy incidents

You won’t believewhat happened to me when I was riding a skateboard! I fell from my skateboard while I was riding very fast. I sprained my knee :-(. It’s better now. It doesn’t ache me. What about you? How your things?

You won’t believe what happened to me five years ago. I swallowed a piece of glass while I was drinking an orange juice. The glass was very thin. I tried to spit out the glass, but I couldn’t. I had to go to a hospital. I had an x-ray there and everything was okay. I left a hospital after two days.

A LETTER OF APPLICATION

Below you can find texts written by the Matura students. They are good examples of letters of application in case you need help when writing yours.

  1. Dear Mrs. X,

I am writing to apply for the position of a curator of the museum’s masterpieces in Herbst’s Museum in Łódź. After reading the description of a job and the list of required skills on the Museum’s webpage I noticed that all of these fit perfectly with my education and future career plans.

Your position requires wide knowledge of the art history and ability to speak foreign languages. Also good organization skills are welcomed. As I am a winner of the citywide ‘’Olimpics of the Art History (specialisation: art)’’ and I am preparing myself to take the Matura exam at History of Art,
I seem to be a perfect candidate for this vacancy. What is more, I am a fluent speaker of Polish and English, comunicative in French and Spanish and I have an ease of learning foreign languages successfully. Organising my Prom and several New Year’s Eve parties for more than 150 people allowed me to gain some practical experience in arranging mass events and managing groups of people.

I am an ambitous young woman full of passion for the art. My friends describe me as a sociable, punctual and very responsable person. I am also a brilliant organizator with the ability of multitasking and, while I do not have my own family, I am very mobile. Those features seem crucial for the job of the Museum’s curator. This position would allow me to broaden my knowledge about the art and history, especially in terms of histroy of the Herbst family. It also provides working with people which I am looking forward to. As a curator I would do my best to arrange museum tours for national and foreign groups as frequently as possible. I would also mastermind exchanging artworks an exhibitions with other museums in Poland, Europe or even World and inviting famous artists to the Museum. Moreover, my goal is to set up Museum’s social media in order to attract potential visitors in the most accurate way.

I strongly believe that I have all the required skills for this position and that our cooperation would be beneficial for both the Museum and me. To conclude, I would be grateful for considering my applitation as I can assure you that I am the most suitable person for this vacancy.

Yours sincerely,
2.
Dear Mr Smith,
I am interested in applying for the position of character animator advertised on your webpage. I think that I am the right person for this post.
I am 26. Three years ago I graduated from Film School in Łódź, Animation and Special Effects course. Since then I have been working for multiple companies listed in my CV and also as freelance artist. I am experienced in storyboarding and character animation – the attached portfolio contains a couple of my artworks (both comissions and personal projects). I am highly proficient with the most popular graphic and animation softwares (Photoshop 6, Illustrator, Toon Boom).
I feel that I would be a perfect candidate for that job. I consider myself to be hardworking, reliable and well-organised, my time management skills enable me to always finish projects on time. In my previous workplaces I was known as a good team worker, but also a creative and imaginative person – I try to enhance every comission with my own vision and ideas. My drawing, move-capturing, storytelling and script interpretation skills were also appreciated. Moreover, I have never quitted any technical exercises – I still practise pose drawing and painting, so you can expect that my continuous progress will be visible in works produced for your clients. I also come up with my own ideas and I would be really grateful for the possibility to realize and release them from your studio.
I enclose my CV, a reference from my previous employer and my portfolio. I would be grateful if you would consider my application. I am available for an interview any weekday. I look forward to hearing from you.
Yours sincerely,
